PROVENANCE & METHOD
An archive with
its sources attached.
This selected edition connects material from four artist websites and the linked earlier portfolio. It preserves the difference between artwork, artist statement and curatorial interpretation.
Primary sources
- Kobi Israel / Parallaxes — the current artist landing page.
- Earlier photography portfolio — series, dates and artist descriptions.
- Moving-image portfolio — films, installations and work-in-progress status.
- Syntax of Paradox — song cycles, questions, project structure and credits.
- Discreet Love — project statement and edition-specific listening links.
- Parallax House — the six sonic identities and their stated works.
What this edition does
Project facts follow the linked artist sources. Cross-connections and introductory descriptions are curatorial interpretations developed for this archive. The overall presentation follows the artist’s request to connect these websites under one creative practice.
What remains open
This is a selected public-source catalogue, not a complete catalogue raisonné. Restricted films and member material have not been copied. Descriptions of sound are based on published project statements, not a critical listening review. Full films have not been viewed for this edition.
Incomplete credits, uncertain release links and conflicting titles remain documented as such. Syntax of the Eternal’s page contains both After the Seasons links and a Twelve States of Consciousness announcement; no equivalence has been assumed. Resonance is retained as a work, without reusing Dissonance’s listening links.
Historical care
The song cycles’ historical inspiration is distinct from primary historical evidence. We Had Other Words explicitly uses fictional protagonists. Contemporary identity terms are not assigned retrospectively to named historical figures by this website.
Artwork & access
Selected photographs are credited to Kobi Israel; the reproduced After Dark cover is credited to Syntax of Paradox. Typographic panels are navigation treatments made for this website, not original album covers. No third-party players load until requested. The site itself has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies; external services have their own policies.
